Timo Sohl

Ramon y Cajal Researcher
Core Faculty

Timo Sohl is a Ramón y Cajal Research Professor (Investigador RyC) at UPF Barcelona School of Management. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of St. Gallen and graduated in Economics from the University of Heidelberg. Before joining UPF, he was a postdoctoral researcher at IESE Business School and a visiting researcher at Texas A&M University.

His research focuses on corporate strategy and examines decisions around a firm’s boundaries and profile of business lines. His work has been published or is forthcoming in leading academic journals, such as Management ScienceStrategic Management Journal, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and has been awarded several prizes...
