17 Noviembre - 2023
Student Project Awards

The best Master and Postgraduate projects created at the UPF-BSM are given recognition in an edition of the awards with record participation

The UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) has named the best Master and Postgraduate projects of the 2022-2023 academic year in the fifth edition of the Student Project Awards, the annual event that gives recognition to the theses of UPF-BSM students in seven categories: Research; Knowledge Transfer; Interdisciplinary Studies; Gender and Diversity; Ethics, Social Responsibility and Planetary Wellbeing; Culture; and Innovative Business Initiative.

The Dean of the UPF-BSM, Llorenç Bagur, highlighted how strongly these awards had been consolidated, with this year’s edition “receiving 50% more applications than the previous edition”. With this in mind, he expressed his gratitude for “the efforts and hard work of all the students, as well as the faculty members, who have reviewed and evaluated all the projects in record time”.

Introduced by Sub-Director General, Oriol Montanyà, and the Director of the Master of Science in Sustainability, Erola Palau, the event was also attended by the Director General of the UPF-BSM, José Manuel Martínez-Sierra, who closed the event emphasizing that “all these projects show that the School is on the right path, as they all reflect the values that the UPF-BSM advocate.

Before the awards were presented, Miriam Acedo, a graduate of the Master in Professional Mediation, Director of Human Capital at Lunet Facility Services and co-finalist in the last edition of these awards, shared a few touching words with the finalists of the class of 2022, explaining that the key to success is underpinned by three pillars: “choosing human, empathic leaders; attracting talent and gaining their loyalty in an environment in which they can grow; and a commitment to a culture based on wellbeing”. In her opinion, “we have to combine a highly demanding workplace with a high level of care for its people”.
